After the successes of Batman Arkham Asylum and its sequel Arkham City it should come to no surprise that Warner Brothers is excited to release the third piece of the gaming trilogy. Arkham Origins is a prequel to the series and is set to come out later this year for Xbox 360, Wii U, Ps3 and PCs.

The game’s plot involves eight of the world’s deadliest assassins coming to Gotham City on Christmas Eve in order to kill the caped crusader . From the cover of this months Game Informer , we can already see that one of the master assassins is none other than Deathstroke.

The gameplay and style looks very much similar to the previous games despite WB’s decision to go away from Rocksteady Studios and move the development of the game to Warner Brothers Montreal. There’s also going to be a spin-off called Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate for the Nintendo 3DS and the PS Vita.
